The Homepage doesn't look like much, but it's probably the
best fair in switzerland from a historical point of view.
It pays not to announce a "medieval" fair, because you omit
local artisans having to wear very bad "medieval" clothes
(instead you get nicely clad artisans in 19th century clothes).

There will be quite a lot of local artisans, but also some
artisans doing really interesting things: A leatherworker
doing shoes, purses and cast bronze from Constance-finds,
the people from the Brauerei Locher brewing beer (which is
probably the "most medieval" beer you'll ever taste) and
a local artisan selling high-quality tinder.

There are no less than five reenactment-companies invited,
covering the 6th (Alamans), 11th (Project 1st Crusade), 13th
(Her unde Massenie), 15th (Margaritae and Hodie) and early
19th century (swiss voltigeurs in Napoleons service). (Plus,
I think, some rather dubious Landsknechts. We'll see).

We from Maragritae and Hodie will be depicting the 1470ies/
1480ies (with much bow- crossbow- and handgun-shooting).

It's a nice occasion to see what other reenactors in
switzerland are doing.

See you there.

Cheers
Seegras
