Please can you be more specific? I am not sure
of what you are talking about.
I don't see a real difference for the shape codpiece.
I believe it is more the way they are drawn
than the actual shape of the garment.

Anyway, I wasn't showing the red pourpoint has a civilian
example but for the structure of an original padding
(on which I have information) that matches
contemporary ordinances (14th century)
still in use in the 1470's.

The black points in the picture are made in silk thread
with the finger-loop breading using 5 loops.
They are mine and I don't master any other technique. :-)

That's already in the guide but you are right
I should perhaps be more specific.
