Subject: Re: Company of Saynte George
Hi all!
As an old ex-member I perfectly agree with Gerry's words.
I went out of the Company when I could not stand any longer the way some
new people ruled it without any share with others, no info's, no
confrontation, no discussion.
Things changed from then....in some ways....
As Gerry says those people do their work quite well, the company raised
itself from a very dark period with no events (or even very bad events)
but things changed a lot from the "good old days".
Old bastards are keen to nostalgic feeling and always dream to live
forever in a perfect dream....that's way I left the company, because I
had no more that feeling....
BUT, consider that many younger people lived for year in the myth of the
GREAT Company of St George and always asked to us old members things
about the way that company do events, about that perfect behaviour they
couldn't find anywhere, about those charismatic people who create that
great machine.... and when they get ready to join the lot in recent
times they reaction was: "...is THIS the famous CoStG?......"
Yes in respect of all those people who have done so much for so many
years to create the "myth" of the Company of St. George, it will be far
more better to do a new start and change the name....there are plenty of
Saints to take a new name....
Sincerely Yours
Bruno Chionetti
