Mailinglist moderation

Dear all,
The messages by Gerry and Werner on Tuesday took me by surprise.
It is always difficult to react when the administrator is the
target of critizism. Even more so, when the topics should be
dealt with inside an organisation and not out in the public.
I could not help but shut the list down for two days until the
dust has cleared up. I repeat, i am a friend of frank discussions
and everybody will always get a reply on his questions (at least
this is what i will try to do). But we are three weeks ahead
of a very big event and i do not want to have unrest and
insecurity spread at this moment. There are guests and participants
of the event on this list. They can read the initial questions
but not the internal discussion evolving afterwards.
I can report, that the discussion among the members has been lively.
We are not closing down the Company just yet and the Captain
has finally called the contenders to reason.
I am going to reopen the list now. The messages that have been queued
up in the meantime will be forwarded _as is_. They are unaltered
and no message has been lost.
One has to walk on a thin line to do the right thing in quarrels
as these. Please bear patience with me, if i did not react correctly.
I would like to keep this public forum free from internal
troubles and would therefore wish to close the topic on this list.
If there is anything to comment on, the Company will do so after
we have talked to each other face to face.
best regards,
Christian
