Re: Padded Jack with puffed sleeves

Hello,
I find similar example of puffed sleeves. All sleeve is puffed (not only to elbow). First sleeve is white, second example is brown/red.
1. St. Elizabeth Altar (closed wings for Lent with The Passion cycle), The nailing to the cross scene. It's dated 1474-77. St.Elizabeth's Catedral in Kosice, Slovakia.
2. Poliptych of Legnica, painted by Michael Obilman from Wroclaw, dated 1466, SS Peter and Paul's Church. (Ecce homo scene)

Unfortunately I can't scan this pictures now.
Maybe it's only fantasy costume for biblical figures. Maybe it's infuence of eastern culture and costume, very strong in later years of XV century in land of The Holy Empire? For example we've got "Schube" which is turkisch kind of long robe...

Eva
