Cotton padding

From: Christian Folini

Hello,

As i have seen a padded doublet in Luebeck,
(http://folini.tikon.ch/reenactment/scandinavian-finds/index.html)
i am still wondering about the filling of these kinds
of garments.

Loïc is filling pourpoints with cotton following the rules
of the pourpoint makers of Paris. (Loïc, could you post
an excerpt of these rules?)

Now i wonder what the advantage of cotton over wool would be.
I have not really tried it yet, but i've like to know before
investing too much work. :)

So any help would be appreciated,

Christian
