Before everyone gets carried away with mail shirts over "puffed" sleeves, don't
forget that the original question was whether it would work with a particular
shirt in the Company. It's actually very unusual in our period to see full mail
shirts worn, most are pieces to reinforce areas of weakness in other types of
armour. There's little point in wearing a full shirt under a good breastplate -
adds considerable weight and no protective benefit.
