Thank You very much - I`ve got some sources of such a thing... I thought that maybe somebody know anything about more "medieval" methods of "waterproofing" the tent...

For new tents I would reccomend using a treated canvas which is water proofed and fire retardant. You can brush up against this canvas in the wet without the drip that you get from the old untreated tents.

For old tents you can get waterproofing liquid that you brush onto the tent. It can however go on rather blotchy.
