An English translation of some parts of the 1467 Talhoffer -though
still not 100% correct- can be found at the HACA homepage, as well as
my humble efforts in translating the manual of Siegmund Ringeck (sorry
for this shameless plug!), which -IMO- offers a far better
understanding of the techniques. If you back up the written
instructions with the illistrations from Talhoffer, you have a good
base for your studies.

The correct technical term for Blösse is 'opening', which it
self-explanatory.
