As far as I can see, the translations are not really wrong, just
not exact.
ie. http://www.aemma.org/onlineResources/thalhoffer/tafel_6.htm
In the German text they write 'Blosse' which is not
a German word. To the left you can see it should be 'Blösse'.
This is then translated with 'target' which gets the point more or
less, but is not correct and actually has a completely different meaning.
A better translation might be 'bareness', but I do not know if
it really means the same, since "Blösse" is also something
uncovered, something you are unaware of, a position which is
undefended. Maybe no translation exists.

Just for an example. The site allows you to understand what Thalhoffer
means more or less, but it is not a proper translation of his
german text. As the site suggests:
>The translations of the ancient verse into English are very approximate
>and AEMMA does not take any responsibility for their accuracy of Medieval
German >to modern English.
